RBA Architects + Conservation Consultants was founded in 1994 by Roger Beeston, a registered architect who is currently Deputy Chair of AusHeritage, a Heritage Advisor to the City of Melbourne, and an Honorary Research Fellow of the Collaborative Research Centre in Australian History at Federation University Australia.

Our nimble, multi disciplinary team of about twelve people, consists of heritage consultants, historians, conservation and design architects, specialist technicians and researchers. We are a dynamic mix of wise old heads and young tech savvy graduates, who work in a collaborative environment that fosters caution and care but also innovation and left-of-field and over-the-horizon analysis. We are technically advanced yet richly informed by tradition.

Our Heritage, Architecture and Conservation teams are able to assist you with specific advice queries, through to a complete service from project inception to completion. We’ll guide you through the heritage management process with our services such as heritage impact advice, restoration, assistance with permit applications, new architectural design, building condition assessment, conservation management planning, adaptive reuse and more.

We work throughout Victoria, as well as interstate and internationally.

“Places of cultural significance … are important as tangible expressions of Australian identity and experience … telling us about who we are and the past that has formed us.”
